sorry to hear this - this keeps happening ....

Out of interesting - was it garaged / did they manage to take the keys? I thought a combination of a good alarm systems, steering wheel lock and keeping the keys safe were robust. This no longer seems the case :(

Bug Eyed Peas 17 September 2006 08:36 AM

  Sorry to hear. They want stringing up, and thats the least I would do to them!
Nothing is safe these days.

F**king tossers
I hope they get the scrotes who did this Alan, not much you can do except wait to see what sort of damage they did to the car (if any) or if they abused the car (possably :()
I take it the police are going to hold the car for forensics?

Tony

alanjack 17 September 2006 09:53 AM

Forensics are looking at car now.

Bad thing is I don't have any keys so will need to get some new ones:(

I have heard from police there is some slight damage but don't know exactly what.

scooby0809 17 September 2006 10:31 AM

stevebennett 17 September 2006 10:39 AM

Good that you got it back.. did it have a tracker or was it a tip off!

alanjack 17 September 2006 10:47 AM

Wouldn't it be safer to let the AA/RAC take it to a garage rather than try and drive it if it isn't safe?

mart360 17 September 2006 12:01 PM

theyve got the keys, cos there gona try and come back!! classic dump it and tracker check... you need a new lock set, and recoding, dont know if its a new ecu etc, others on here are better to advise than me.

oh and to really rub salt into the wounds, sorry :( your the one who will foot the bill... and the scrotes who did this, at best if caught, (fat chance) as its a non camera crime or a crime against the state, will prolly get a hug and 2 weeks in barbados

i thought the cops had the car? no doubt they will have to open it to examine it:( which may mean damage. ill pm you with a number to call.

nik52wrx 17 September 2006 12:07 PM

Sorry to hear about the theft of your car.
Was your car parked outside or in a garage ?
Did the little sh*ts take both keys or did you only have one set anyway.
Out of interest did the tracker work.
Hope any damage is minimal.
Nik.

alanjack 17 September 2006 12:34 PM

Yes tracker came up trumps.

i got it done for £375 as a favour but i know i was looking at in excess of £800 from robinsons of rochdale.

scum did same thing to mine, they took at parked it up but tracker located it.

u should claim your insurance mate as u said u have some damage. i had no damage at all hence why i paid for locks myself rather than use insurance.

there seems to be a few scoobys going lately and they all seem to be newage ones.

nik52wrx 17 September 2006 03:09 PM

I would be interested to know if all those stolen are kept on driveways as oppose to in a garage.
Nik.

Thanks mate:) sensible but you know what it is like????

nik52wrx 17 September 2006 07:57 PM

Quite a bit i would think as i bet most are taken from driveways and streets.
If theres a car in the street and a similar car in a garage which one do you think they will bother with????
