plugs best for high boost and changing
Hi
im in the process of servicing my 1996 sti v2 , the car is running on 22psi boost and judging from the previous owners bills it has eaten plugs , he has only been using NGK standard plugs for this model, im thinking of using a harder HKS plug, any opinions on this please and they look a pig to change "are they????????????" thanks for ny help Mick |
Easy to change with the correct socket, knukle and extention.
Remove the screen washer bottle. NGK PFR 7B. Avoid Iridium plugs or plugs with a big price tag. 22psi is not that much. Reduce the gap to .6mm if you are worried about the boost but it will probably be OK at .7 mm. |
Thanks dude it has NGK PFR 6B in at the min just wont to make sure i get the right set up, first guy who owned it spent the cash well second guy kept it well but was cheep on some parts . im now trying to correct his mistakes,

Iridium : They break. Send e-mail address for photos of several.
Expensive : Until you are at high boost they are not required. |
