F**king wierdo

There I was sitting in the house minding my own buisiness when the neighbour calls me on my mobile to tell me some guy was taking photos of my car. Went out and asked him what he thought he was doing and he told me his hobby was going round taking pics of scoobs:cuckoo: . Told him I didn't want him taking pics of my car and he asked if I wanted to see his pics of all the others. Almost felt like asking him if he wanted to come see some pupies. Is this for real do people really do this or am I to expect a letter from the law saying my car has a twin:wonder:

You do get train spotters and plane spotters. so why not scooby spotters just hope he ain't working for some low life.

speedyscoob 16 September 2006 01:04 PM

Yeh think I'll be keeping a close eye on the car for a bit. To be honest he did seem a bit of a nerd though

360ste 16 September 2006 01:07 PM

You should have had some rotweiler puppies to set on him then once they have played for a while let the parents out. :lol1: :lol1: :lol1:

ScuuBdoo 16 September 2006 01:14 PM

if you remember Gone In 60 seconds the professionals do go and take a picture of the car they want to steal for their shopping list..

Its "preping" or "time to shop".

keep an eye on the car.

speedyscoob 16 September 2006 01:26 PM

yeh think I'll sleep with the fuel pump relay under my pillow tonight:sleep:

d5hof 16 September 2006 01:58 PM

i get all sorts of people taking photo of my car, i never deemed it to be a problem.

bpm1588 16 September 2006 03:45 PM

happens all the time round here but mainly from younger lad's with their camera fones...i dont mind as it make a change from telling kids to feck off and stop using my car as a goal post :)

I have nearly done it in a car park with a Type R but some geezer across the way looked at me funny so I didn't.

Was a rather nice type r hence me doing it.

ive got me window down and this bloke just appears from nowhere and ask if he can take some picys of me car! out come's his mobile and off he goes like david baylie or what ever his name is.

i felt like a right plonker!!!:(

Bug Eyed Peas 16 September 2006 06:01 PM

I wouldn`t knock the attention, but I would keep a close eye on the car tho cos you never know :Suspiciou :Suspiciou , this guy seemed a bit of a nerd from what you were saying. So don`t worry. :thumb:

I had some guy take a pic of mine about a week after i got it in a car park... i was just sat there with the door open waiting for my bro to come out of the shop and all of a sudden some guy is taking pics of my car while im in it :)

nik52wrx 16 September 2006 07:41 PM

I think he was just a nerd. A pro thief wouldn't be so obvious as to photo the car in full view of the neighbours. Anyway i dont see why you need a photo of a Subaru prior to stealing it.

why doesnt he just google image search and he can view as many as he likes

*Sonic* 16 September 2006 09:25 PM

Ive had loads of people taking pics of mine, mainly kids with their camera phones

never really bothered me tbh, i just pretend like I don't know they are doing it

Anyway in Gone in 60 seconds, didnt they use a real camera with big zoom lens, and hide (except the Lambo I think)

some people just love cars ..me included if i seen a real nice car id think nothing of taking a pic

chocolate_o_brian 16 September 2006 10:28 PM

i did it once when stuck in traffic behind a aston martin db9. sounded lovely on idle and took a quick snap when the lights were red... probably illegal though to use your phone for anything when driving so i was erm on a private runway stuck in traffic... er yes officer thats it:D
