if i recall, not a spares item, due to the way there made, (unless the japs defined the norm and made a seperate motor, but due to the requirements, (low speed, high torque) its usuall to make the motor part of the mirrorswivel mech, which makes removal near on impossible

Funny enough, ive just stripped down mine as the same thing happened, and IT CAN BE SAVED/REPLACED !!

The motor is a little 30mm square item, used for such things as scalextrix cars etc.

Maplins sell them at some stores, some do not.

take it apart, and its quite a simple design, motor is at top with a worm on the shaft, the attaches to several cogs and at the bottom is the gearing that swivels the base plate.

it may need cleaning, as mine was gunked up to hell with the paste they use to lube them, i removed this, re-oil and it turns lurvly now, but my motor had a short in it anyway so got anew motor, job done !
