Vacuum / carpet cleaner advice

To cut a long story, I have a DC03 for general house vacuuming but need to get a carpet cleaner as we have the cat from hell. Through the heat of the summer she tended to puke quite a bit and although it was cleaned up promptly it has stained the carpet in some places. Carpet cleaner solutions were used and did an ok job but there are a couple of spots that need more attention. So I've looked into it a bit and have pretty much decided on a Numatic George GVE370 3in1 vacuum for proper cleaning/washing of carpets. I've managed to track a local shop down that sells them for £159.99. Anyone recommend a better cleaner and/or a place that does the George cheaper?

Vax for Pets has always worked well for us.

Look on eBay and get a Kirby - the best vacuum cleaner there is.

You can get them with shampoo kits, etc. as well...

For a good recon or used example you can get one for < £200 (they retail at >£1000) - and they're made from solid aluminium so built to outlast their owners!

If u dont mind an upright then go for a Sebo X4 Xtra :thumb: But if u want one that washes then the Numatics are hard to beat. Semi commercial and very rarely give us any problems atall
