Im from Hull East Yorks and the wages there are not that great when you look at the rest of the country. I think 18k/year is about average.

I'd be surprised if it was that high for the NE. The UK average wage is approx £29.5k, but then if you take London rates out of that it will of course go down, and wages are lower up North as living costs are a bit cheaper.

I would guess around £24-25k average for the region.
