MY99 Sidelight / Headlight removal - help

I need to remove the headlight from my MY99 Sti5 to gain access to the IC waterspray tank and pump as I am not seeing any pressure in the spray - more a trickle :( Suspect that I need a new pump but cant gain access to it at the mo.

Having taken a brief look it would seem that I need to remove the sidelight before I can remove the headlight. The problem is that I cant get the sidelight out, there only seems to be the screw that attaches the side light to the headlight on top of the headlamp but I cant get the sidelight out. Is there anything else holding the sidelight in place ?

Thanks in advance

Rob

I think you just need to apply pressure in toward the engine bay and then slide forward mate.....
once you have taken the screw out ;)

Sidelights are held in place with a ball and socket type arrangement, pressure from behind, or pull hard STRAIGHT forwards will release it.

Apply grease b4 refitting.

If it DOES snap, worry not, one of mine was mended with superglue and Araldite 3 years ago, and is still OK.
