Unbranded s/s manifold headers on ebay???

doing my usual surf of impreza bit's on ebay to find that bargain you very occasionaly do, and found some brand new hks headers with no bids and a few hours left at £99! unfortunatley too good to be true i asked seller if they were genuine and he pulled the item off auction.

I can't help noticing how many unbranded s/s headers are on there though, many from abroad which i always ignore but some uk sellers selling products which seem to tick all the boxes of a high spec upgrade item for under £180 most times. they make some daft power claims of instant 25bhp etc. but still seem like a decent product.

Just wondering if anyone had bought or used a set of these headers and had any experiences/advice about the quality of the product and wether its a bargain or a false economy.

I'd put a link up but don't want the thread to get pulled.

Cheers, Rob.

I bought a set of allegedly HKS headers for my JDM classic, yes, it did make a big difference, car was dyno'd before at 293BHP and 312BHP after, car felt a lot smoother and a lot more torquier everything was fine for a while, then the welds on the collector ( where the 4 branches go to one before the uppipe) started cracking. Fortunately I only live 5 miles from Hayward and Scott, so they repaired it, and touch would, have been fine since

were they labelled 'hks style' headers like most on ebay are and what did you pay for them?

Cheers Rob.
