Value but what possible damage?

I'm currently running an S8 which is fine but I've found someone who is happy to take it off my hands for a decent price. I like the car a lot so am looking at this car to replace it with something similar. Going from the S8 to that will be a virtual no cost option for me. Quite fancy it for the oddball value if nothing else.

Question is what damage could the kit have done to the W12 engine? Never mind driveshafts etc.

Bearing in mind this car is now available for a fraction of what it cost new do you think I'm mad to even consider it? It isn't going to be a keeper, just something to run to the shops and back in until Christmas.

I don't know what damage could have been caused but my friend bought a car from that dealer and they were very good. They even delivered the car to him that same afternoon :)

Their reputation does preceed them. Over on a certain luxury marque forum they are held in very high esteem.

The trick is going to be trying to get the car for 22K, if I can find out a little about W12 engines and the car before I shell out the cash.

I would imagine its about the least desirable (from a head not heart standpoint) version of the A8 you could get, especially with such a big and rare engine, i.e. 15 grand to replace and has been fiddled with.

Just something to go to the shops in until Christmas ?

At which point you will either get stuck with it or take a huge hit on depreciation, I should imagine that the car will put up with the nitrous if the conversion was done by a reputable supplier, I expect it will be a 100 shot or therabouts, depends whether the owner has resisted the temptation for more, has the owner got shot as its started burning oil at an alarming rate, you wont find out until the oil light comes on a week after buying it.

Get a water tight warranty (if such a thing exists)

Any idea what level of NOS shot its running? 50bhp per bank might not be a big problem. Has the NOS ecu been set up - would need more details on the system really.

I think though he's probably just posting using another user name and has decided that the W12 in question isn't worthwhile because having talked to the garage they have no detailed information on the NoS installation.
