ultimate driving road.
I've just come back from holidaying in romania.
When I was there, I had the good fortune to take the transfagaras pass, circumnavigating the Transilvanian alps. This is the real deal Gentlemen, starting at Draculas castle ( a mere 1800 steps to climb) and goes on for a further 80 kilometers. I'll say that again, it goes on for a further80 Kilometers:luxhello: Click this and look at the big red line to the left http://www.aboutromania.com/maps59.html If that dont float your boat, then look at this... http://users.tkk.fi/jsreunan/Romania...rasan_road.jpg Its like this for 80 kilometers gents, took me most of the day to drive. Awesome doesnt even begin to describe it. Dori action was out due to the fact I was driving a Rav 4 (not JDM tyte in the least, but JDM at the very least) But **** on me it was an awesome road to drive, utterly fantastic. Anyone up for a road trip? astraboy |
I bet if I drove that I'd be stuck behind a camper van all the way... is what appears to be a solid white line down the middle a no-overtaking white line ?
Speed limit ? |
no overtaking for 80 kilometres then-what a pisser that would be :(

Bet they don't do optimax there :)
Nearest I can get on a map is here: http://maps.google.co.uk/?ie=UTF8&ll...,3.702393&om=1 which is in Serbia and Montenegro :( It looks quite a long way though :) Switzerland looks similar to that, but with a human population and v-power petrol too, and is also a lot nearer, I highly recommend it :D |
