clunking sound sorted !
 
hi not had me scoob v5 sti wagon long and last week noticed a quite clunking sound in the gearbox area behind the dash at low speeds when taking up drive and going over bumps! been thread searching on here and seems quite a few members have a simler problem. after me research checked it over an couldnt see out wrong! came to the conclusion that the diff bearings in the box must have gone gutted! took it to a local garage to and he thought it was to! been at home stressed out today and raining like mad! went on a misson to get to bottom of it . by this time its well loud thuding !! under the intercooler the engine\gearbox mount to bulkhead had been working loose on the bulkhead side! ! tightend it up with a rusty old adjustable ha ha job sorted i wish every fix was like that on a scoob been worrin like mad ! winner its prob had a new clutch not so long ago as well ! pleasure to drive again now made up ! https://www.scoobynet.com/images/smilies/smile.gif
