RMA to Liteon - Cannot Find proof of purchase ?????
 

just been on the phone to liteon

purchased a dvd recorder in march (off the net), its has started to play up,

phone liteon just and they tagged the serial number etc but have asked me to find my proof of purchase.

Now i dont keep emails , or stuff like that and for an item that cost £60 would not have really kept receipt

Anybody used LITEON RMA before - what if i cannot find my proof of purchase

The e-tailer that sold you the recorder should be able to provide you with a duplicate invoice.

However, I should expect your warranty would have had to have been registered within 14days of purchase.
This can typically be done on the manufacturers website by simply logging date of purchase and the unit serial number.

Most people tend not to retail receipts or original packaging, nor register warranties but they still expect it to be honoured.

Good luck with your claim but I wouldn't hold much optimism for a satisfactory outcome from Liteon.
