Friend of mine is looking for her first car, the criteria are as follows:

5 drs
Small-ish (No bigger than Focus)
Not powerful (<100 bhp)
Ultra reliable (Pref Jap or Korean over German)
AC
Price range 4-5K

My thoughts were these:

Old shape (breadvan) Civic - 1.4/1.6
Toyota Yaris 1.0/1.3
Honda Jazz

Slightly "different" choices

Suzuki Ignis 1.3 (I'm biased - used to have the 1.5 sport which was amusing!)
Kia Picanto
Small Hyundai (can't remember the name)
Skoda Fabia 1.2

Any thoughts or experiences on these little shopping buggies? Makes a change from thinking about high budget / high power beasties!! Test driving them could be amusing! ;)

4-5K for a pair of Nike trainers!? That's a stack of cash!
