AndyF Remap

Hi all,

Had an andyF remap on a new power fc + commander on thursday and what can i say absolutly brilliant. I had a fmic, 440cc injectors, fuel pump, apexi filter and decat fitted and then got andy to map it and its just excellent. Even just driving it normally is so smooth and nice and the power is just great compared to standard (its 93 wrx import).

If anyone is thinking of gettin a power fc and remap i would say diffently go for andy. I was going to the USC event from northern ireland - where i live and just had to drive up to him for the work and im well pleased.

My first time at the pod and my quickest time was 14.1 with 1.2bar as i couldnt run full boost 1.4bar as my clutch is slipping big time so i though 14.1 wasnt bad as i had to take it really slow of the start.

I need a new clutch and was going to go for a exedy organic clutch. Is this a good clutch and should i buy a lightened flywheel as well and can anyone reccomend one.

Thanks all

Drew

you can have your existing flywheel skimmed as long as its in good health, should cost less than £50.
Exedy organic uprated from API is mustard, I had 330-350-380 all through it without a hint of slip and that included track and drag launches.

Andy is very good isnt he

Yes was well pleased with him and him work as he helped with a few other problems.

I would probably prefer a new flywheel as mine is 13 years old so could probably do with one.

ive found these clutches on ebay has anyone bought one from this company as they seem very cheap if follow the link below you can see them.

I am running a Fidanza 4.2Kg flywheel...some say this is too light and will cause problems with launches. I've never had a problem with launches though and the car pulls so much better for it :norty: I am using Scoobyclinic's own clutch and am running 1.4bar dropping to 1.3 with the same TD05 as yourself and it's never been a problem - it was approx £420 including vat and fitting and loan of their car for 4 hours. I suppose it all depends on just how much power you are eventually going to run.

I have an 8kg flywheel on mine and think its a good compromise between the oe item and the 4kg. You can get them on an exchange basis from AS performance for around £100.

id say the bottom one is an OE replacement level item and the top one would be for slightly modded cars such as yours. Go with the top one.

Thanks, I noticed its a 230mm one and thought mine was 225mm will this make any differance. Also will it be able to handle decent bhp?
