Engine Light

Hi,

Can anyone help? I had my wrx serviced at 92k cos it was due. i did it at an AA approved garage. They said they couldnt find a service reset button but i didnt worry about it. Driving around, my engine light came on flashing but then disappeared. Its now come on permanently. The only thing i can think is that the computer's telling me i need a service and therefore i need to get it reset somehow - make any sense?

Thanks,

D

it's telling you there is a fault with a sensor there isn't a service light on wrx's so you need to get it diagnosed.

A firm who know their arse from their elbow would be a good start.....

Dshox,

Where are you based mate?

It may help people point you in the right direction to get the fault code diagnosed.

Cheers
Steve

hiya,

im based in Uxbridge (NW London) and often spend weekends in Brum so I have a decent spread.

i intend selling my wrx soon cos im lookin to leave work and go solo - so need cash in the interim. clearly i cant sell with an engine light on even tho i just put 12 months tax, service, and 12 mot on there!

any ideas what it could be?

ta,

D

Hi,

Can I get a steer from a mechanic type person or just someone that knows about these things?

Powerengineering want to put my scooby on a rolling road and read the fault code that turns my engine warning light on. Trouble is that'll cost £125 straight away. Is it necessary to do this or can you just plug it in??? :wonder:

Thanks,
D
