thanks for the comments guys

regarding the fog light, i had something similar on the car before but it went kaput so what i did was hunt around for ages until realising that it was not acutally a fog lamp. It was a brake light converted to a fog lamp.

So here is what i did, got a long brake light from Halfrauds (there are two type, one that is LED and the other with bulbs, get the one with bulbs). Then got it sealed tight so that it doesnt let water through as they are made for internal use

and after that simply fixed on.

O and before you ask, yes it would pass MOT being a brake light since same power output or something stupid like that but mine passed and i know on here a few people have had break lights fixed on doing the job of a fog lamp and theirs passed MOT also

hope that helps ;)

LegacySTi 06 August 2006 03:18 PM

lovely job mate. 2 things i'd add or change would be 1 change gearknob back for original black one with red stitching. and 2 would be source a set of factory splash gaurd blocks. think the wagons always need them.

kilo_4que 06 August 2006 03:21 PM

yeah i was thinking of some splash guards makes the car a little lower without lowering if that makes any sense :wonder:

o and btw Paul, didnt see the ending of your post matey, what have you bought yourself

Curtiz 06 August 2006 03:24 PM

lovely wagon matey! and she looks in mint condition!

make sure you keep your UK wiring for the drivers side rear light and all you need to is put a red LED bulb in and you'll fly through the MOT ;)

Swen6 06 August 2006 05:54 PM

Nice clean looking car mate.

Gear Head 06 August 2006 05:59 PM

Very nice m8. Thought of putting some 18 inch PFF7's on there? Now that would look

LOL that was my initial idea to be honest but lack of fund didnt allow and these BK racing wheels were very cheap with no scratches or grazes at all apart from a very tiny chip around 3mm

o and of course they have a similar look to the pff7s

RS Grant 06 August 2006 06:33 PM

Very nice... you considered a circa. £100 refurb of the wheels to dark antracite??

Cheers,
Grant

kilo_4que 06 August 2006 06:46 PM

lol i was a great fan of anthracite infact still am and ironically speaking hated gold wheels until I saw Mr Bradleys car (*LJB*) with his gold PFF7s, i kind of like the gold wheels but would let you know if im wanting a refurb ;)

skywalker23 06 August 2006 06:49 PM

Cheers for info regarding rear fog light, thought it looked like an inside break light....

Thanks mate...:thumb:

RS Grant 06 August 2006 07:08 PM

Yea, I'm not afraid to publically admit to recently seeing a few Scoobs with gold wheels and finding them attractive... :lol1:

Cheers,
Grant

Hahaha, undercover polishing they call it Simon lol,

Regarding tints I dont think im going to be able to do so for two reasons. Firstly no money left as usual and secondly im thinking of selling up again hence the reason im going to put it in autotrader today.

A sad miss but it is hard to have a car which you cant insure and drive genuinely, feel like a criminal on the road even though i am third party insured when i drive it

In addition I have setup a new corporate design company so need to invest in that also

But I shall be back soon in the scooby scene once everything is sorted

lets hope it sells

Btw hows your work of art doing, ive been mentioning it a few times this week as an example of how a saloon is supposed to look :D

Scratch 07 August 2006 09:33 PM

Like the new wheels matey.

You get that dint taken out the passenger side A-pillar yet ? As I notice quite cunningly there's no shots from that angle :) What was a small blemish on an otherwise top looking car last time I saw it.

I have seen my name mentioned a few times just lately :Suspiciou :D

It's going well and I've hit a level where I'm planning on staying for the time being ;)

Good luck with the sale... I'll keep my eyes open for you, are going to sell complete by the way ?
No point in trying to half run it get some money in the bank first you got plenty of time on your side that's for sure :p
I'm probably nearly old enough to be your father :lol1: :freak3:

hahaha love the end comment

regarding selling it as it is, yes I am with the wheels and everything

Scratch: I never did anything with the tiny dent on the a pillar but i did replace the guard thing around it which is what had the screwdriver marks on it and did look as though it was a part of the a pillar so maybe why you cant see the little ding

But there is a picture of that side of the car above: -

Btw also got it undersealed etc

;)
