Whoopsie!

Fitted an Apexi power fc last night. I've been running a Z4 ecu before and had my high boost setting at 1.1 bar on my EVC. I knew that this would be close to maxing out my injectors but after running with the power fc and commander I now know that I was hitting 100% injector duty cycle way before the redline! Whoops! I've been running around like that for quite a while, although I do use 0.8bar for normal driving.

Luckily I have some new SARD 540cc injectors sitting here and as soon as Jollygreenmonster is back from his holidays they will be fitted and the ecu will be mapped. Can't wait for the improvement!!!!

I should be going from 260bhp to 320-340bhp!

Hmmmmm..... Just a thought, but does that mean that everyone running a daughterboard type upgrade with a Z4 is in the same situation?

well, if they have standard 380cc injectors and are running 1.1 bar or over then yes I guess they would also be maxxing out their injectors.

I run 98% duty cycle at 1.35bar (TD05) with a slightly raised fuel pressure on 380cc injectors. I am also maxing the airflow meter with it seeing 5.05v. Andy F mapped. Needless to say, these are the next things on my list to change :norty:

I still haven't fitted my FPR so I can't adjust the pressure just yet. I've turned the boost down now though until the injectors are in.
So what kind of power are you running? I was hoping for 330-340 but I don't want to max the airflow meter...........is there a better maf I can upgrade to or something? Or will the standard one be up to the job? I'm thinking a max of 1.3 bar.

Steve
