Help!

Looking for some ideas here....

Mate was driving down the dual carraige way, just as he changed gear something went wrong. He said it sounded like the dump valve venting but 50 times louder. After that happened he now has no boost whatsoever. The engine check light came on just after (will check codes tomorrow) but looking for any starting points, suggestions??

Anyone experienced anything similar....??

split boost hose maybe?

I reckoned it was a hose from the way he described it, hes a bit gutted, just put a new clutch in which took him 7 hours, that worked a treat then this happened.

Ontop of that I feel bad as its my old car, the clutch went a week after he bought it off me now this :(

Is the speedo still working??

If not, he might have disturbed speedo wire. Happened to my car when i had my clutch changed. Check engine light came on and car would'nt drive past 4000rpm - 4500rpm. Once re-connected engine light went off and the car was sorted. :wonder:

Speedo still working, car will rev upto 2500k then ya get a mahousive air hissing noise and it wont rev any higher.

Not sure mate, could be a burst pipe or something. :wonder:

Get her into a reputable garage.

Had a quick look this morning and found one pipe off....Started it and black smokes coming out the zorst and loads out the turbo chimney too....

All sorted, intercooler house blew off....lol.

Put it back on, was still puffing out the black and running like a tractor but reset the ecu and gave it a good clear out. Runs a treat now.
