Help needed !! Towbar on 05 Sti PPP
 

Help ! Finally found someone to install tow bar today as I go away Monday and I'm carrying 3 bikes on a Thule carrier

Got there and they take bits off car only to tell me the bracket that fits to the chassis fouls the welded bar that attaches the exhaust to the rubber hanger..........great:mad: !

Its was a Witter Kit - CW24 I think- has anyone had a towbar fitted on a PPP Sti ?

If so what manufacturer ? Need to sort on Monday......

I've got a Brink removable swan neck tow bar on my 03 STI and on my first classic Scoobys,not cheep but good.

Just an update on this - nobody makes a tow bar kit that fits past the Sti PPP exhaust :mad:

Tried them all - Witter, Bosal, Brink........

Have you tried Towsure. They manufacture their own kit...

I've got one too.

I can reccomend CDF towbars, they do one, fantastic company based in the Midlands, you can get them on 01676 540582 if thats any good to you.

I fitted the Subaru official one to my WRX with WRSport backbox.
Not sure if it's very different on the sTi, but I had the box knocking when it was connected to the new hanger off the towbar bits underneath.

Cure was to put the old hanger on under the towbar then mount the box off that. Might be worth querying..?
