Removing brakelines

I have some stainless steel brake lines to go on but the problem is I can't seem to get the old ones off, the bit where they connect from flexible hose to solid lines I can't undo the nut there, have tried WD40 on them but just feels like I am going to strip the nut if I try any harder. Has anyone had problems with this before
Thanks

It's a common problem. having had to replace the lines on a couple of cars in the past after FUBARing the things, I have come to the conclusion that it is better to use a pair of mole wrenches just to get it to let go and risk slightly damaging two faces than risk rounding the whole thing by persisting with a spanner.

Just my opinion, your home is at risk etc. etc.

Yup, I used mole grips also!

OK, best get me some mole grips then, thanks for the advice

You can get spanners specifically for the brake lines. More like a ring spanner but with just a slight gap for fitting over the hose before putting it on the nut.

Just changed my hoses yesterday and what a pain in the arse one of them was, my spanner rounded off the little nut so out came the mole grips which managed to break it loose. :)
