Hi, I've got a STI type r v5 v limited.I understand suburu only made a limited number of these so how can i find out what the build number is on my car is?

I would have thought there would be a plaque somewhere in the car stating the number of car

I know but I can't find it,so it's either hidden or someone pulled it off at some time.

they should be a badge on the boot saying it or one just infront of the gearstick on the console

I,m pretty sure the v5 type r limiteds where not numbered........but the ra limiteds are.

Oh and by the way its a limited ...not v-limited if a version 5 car.

Sorry your'e right I've added too many V's ,so why weren't they numbered then if it was only a 1000 car run?

Where abouts is this on the car?

They made 2000 of these but didn't fit a plaque.

Mine has a plaque on no.967.

Just seen Fatmanscoobys post in gallery and his also has the plaque???

I looked at a version 5 limited type r before i got the sti ra.and that didn,t have one......:confused: :confused:

dose any one know if my car is limited or not it is 1999 sti type r in black
i didnt research the car at all when ibrought it other than a quick flick though autotrader to see if it was a bargin! i brought it 19months ago with no previous jap owners and one uk owner 45k and full service history for 7000 pounds (it had a running fault and the dealer didnt know what it was turned out to be air mass meter fixed for 59 pound) and an engine 2 months later:(

The ltd's were only sonic blue i think

sorry no pics yet but will be posting some when ive worked out how to (im not exactley computer literate) but my spoiler dose kick up at the back

From what I understand the limiteds are sonic blue and have the roof vent.
