Street crime up 8% !
 

Figures released today hy the Home Office state that street crime, muggings and robberies are up by 8% year on year:(

And Humberside Police? One of the WORST performing police forces in the country? What do they do?

Well, they've just announced that they've installed cameras and speed detection equipment in "quite a few" seized unmarked cars to catch even more motorists speeding, using mobiles etc etc:mad:

Now why couldn't these unmarked cars be used to catch street criminals?

Oh yes: criminals don't have numberplates, so you can't just take their photo and send them a fine, you have to get OUT of the car and stop them:mad:

Ah - its "ALL OUR FAULT" for using expensive mobiles and mp3 players - notice not "ALL THE MUGGERS FAULT" for mugging someone! I mean - how many times have you seen a nice mp3 gadget and been overcome with the urge to pull out a knife and stab that person so you can have the latest toy! It could happen to anyone! How unreasonable to blame the mugger!

You cant make racist remarks like that. As you can not under any circumstances state that the large increases in recorded cases of HIV infection are due to the untested immigrants from Africa; oh no. The fact that its the truth has f*ck-all to do with it. Shame on you!

There a mayor in America who has just been re-elected for the umpteenth time. His policy on punishment is what makes him popular.

He has a large cordoned off area (with razor wire) in the middle of a desert. The inmates work in chain gangs and crush rocks all day in the blazing sun. He has chain gangs now for women prisoners so he can’t be called sexist. They live in tents and all ware pink clothing (as it’s claimed to be a soothing colour). He has band magazines, cigarettes and coffee - as it has no nutritional benefit and the meals they eat cost about 50 cents per day – which is the same as what they earn.

He has band television until a court told him that this was too harsh, so he installed cable TV and the only channels it shows is the Disney channel and the weather channel. When he was asked why the weather channel, he replied “So they can see how hot it’s going to get”

Our punishments are far too lenient and it’s a shame we can’t adopt something similar.

We can all thank TB and his Looney Labour Cronnie's.As they are not tough enough on the crims/scum.

I think its more the Human Rights Act. This tends to fail us where criminals are concerened.
