boost solenoid valve
 

final got my first scooby!!!:luxhello:
its a mica blue on a w reg,60k on the clock and a full history:eek2:
goes very well,but when go round the revs in 2nd to 3rd then to 4th,get a big drop in power when changing gear. read up on this and found out that it could be the boost solenoid valve. taken it out gave it a clean with carb cleaner twice now and it has not really made that much difference. could the valve just be *<?ked??? is it worth me trying to clean it again or buy a new one?? how much are they?? any help would be great!!

check the pipe going to it is clean as well bud, and that you have not over filler the oil
