No meetings yet, but there's at least 3 more of us in Shropshire.
Martin.

maybe we could have a mini meet?!! Just moved down from M'cr 2 months ago and just got the car back after lying low for 8 months!

nuclear_pond 07 November 2001 10:16 PM

Hi.

Not sure if my car can take another thraping like the Derby meet :) Maybe we could start the ball rolling with a small pub gathering?

seejay555 08 November 2001 09:20 AM

Up for it. Don't know the area that well so others may have to suggest places. I'm NW side of Telford.

M_D_B 08 November 2001 09:17 PM

So,
anyone want to pick a pub somewhere in the Shrewsbury/Telford area for a Sunday evening meet? I'm sure we can get some of the Nottingham people to come along if there's a kareoke on :).
Martin.

Hi all,I am based in Wolves and will bring a car full if you get anything sorted!

MichelleWRX1994 12 November 2001 02:33 AM

My car is going to be under the care of a good friend for a few weeks after I get back, so I won't be attending many meets. Though I would love to catch up with peeps soon.......

Right,
I'll try and have a wander in the Telford/Shifnal direction and see if there are any promising looking pubs for a Sunday meet. If I hanen't posted anything by Thursday, remind me gently :D.
Martin.

Another Shropshire scooby owner here. By Shrewsbury would be intrested in a meet, they are normaly to far away to attend for me so a local meet would be great.

seejay555 13 November 2001 10:19 AM

Looking at the football calendar, how's about planning something Sunday 16 December? Far enough away to plan to and enough time to find a decent venue. Might also have been to TSL by then and sorted the brakes out!!

nuclear_pond 13 November 2001 08:10 PM

Hmm, We need a pub which has a large car park. How about the white horse in Pulverbatch M_D_B? Good roads on the way there too.

Does a good selection of nosh at reasonable prices. Trouble is they close at 3, so would only sould a daytime meet. Also gets a little busy so we'd have to book and pre order food (I could post a copy of the menu)

Where else is there? erm, Euston Way in Telford? Its a bit like the pub we met in on the Derby run. Must be other places some yokels can recomend?

M_D_B 13 November 2001 08:19 PM

Paul,
if we find somewhere out towards Telford, hopefully we can get some of the Staffs and Wolverhampton people to join us. I'll have a look at both places tomorrow though.
Cheers,
Martin.

Travellers Rest on the A49 between Church Stretton and Craven Arms has a very big car park, easy to find and good roads over the Clee Hill etc.

have you sussed anywhere out yet MDB?

M_D_B 17 November 2001 12:10 PM

Not yet, but I am notoriously lazy :D. I'll have a tour round before I head up to TSL on Thursday, then another tour round Friday to see what my new Eibachs are like.
Martin.

seejay555 20 November 2001 04:13 PM

BTT.
I suggested Sunday 12 December. How's about it? Anyone come up with a pub suffestion yet? MDB?

M_D_B 20 November 2001 04:34 PM

Funnily enough, I went for a little drive yesterday afternoon :).
I had a quick tour to find The White Horse in Pulverbatch, The Traveller's Rest on the A49 and The Euston Way in Telford.
I think we've got the chance of the biggest turn out if we pick Telford. The Euston Way has plenty of parking, is easy to find, and is open from 12-10.30 on weekends.
All we need to do now is sort out a day and time.

Shall we say, The Euston Way, December 16th 3pm so it's still light when we arrive?

Martin.

Doh! I meant Sunday 16th, not 12th. Count me in.

nuclear_pond 20 November 2001 07:10 PM

That sounds like a plan to me.
