Replacing gearbox bushings?

Is this an easy task? are kits available or parts readily available to do this sort of thing?

P20SPD 11 July 2006 09:24 AM

Do you mean the gearbox mount? Or the bearings inside the box?

Neilo 11 July 2006 10:01 AM

the things that would stop the stick being so wobble while in gear (technical term there)

basically in 2nd,3rd and 4th when in gear you can move the stick a fair bit, which im sure if just the bushes wearing over time...1st and 5th dont suffer from it...

any ideas?

Im sure soem proper gearbox mounts could help in the future TBH!

Try tightening the bolt between the linkage and the gearstick.

It could also be that you are missinging the spring on the linkage at the gearbox end.

All relatively simple to check before purchasing poly bushes, which will ultimately help.
