100k Miles
Quite why I should be asking about a rather arbitrary number of miles, but my classic 99 wagon is fast approaching 100k
Changed the clutch, plugs, and leads about 5k miles ago, I'll do the engine oil and filter next week, and get the cambelt changed in the next few weeks too. Anything else I should think about doing? |
Crank and Cam seals.
|
My crankshaft seal went at 105k.

Might be worth checking the suspension bushes. I'd definately replace the dampers
|
Front crank seal yes.. cam seals seem to last longer.. first one went at 145k

Front crank seal sounds straightforward enough, I can get that done when I get the cam belt changed
But cam seals - not an engine out job, is it....? |
cam seals are no real problem either.. remove the cam wheels when the cambelt is changed and change them then.. just they seem to last longer than front crank seal. . I did crank seat at 100k as it leaked, one cam seal at 145k and at 186,800miles I removed the engine and all seals were not leaking..
