Diff Guard/STI Sill Plates

Found these two nice looking items. Liking the Diff Guard but think it was up for £60, to which looks very little to it to warrant that price tag (more to do with whats stamped on it). Someone must either have one of these or had the cover chromed up? Post yours pics accordinly.

Secondly is some door sills, they fit overthe top of the plastic ones already there, and again look fantastic, but for a set of 4 they are £230:eek2: .
Would love a set of them but.........

This was my 1st mod on my 05 STI PPP. I bought it for the cosmetic appeal rather than protection. Its highly visible to anyone following especially at night when its polished! :D

Like the sill plates, give em a Email Darren see if they would be interested in a group buy, if we could get 10 or 20 orders together see what price they'll do em for

Colzo:- they were £60 odd weren't they?, and you have polished it up?. Looks good.

Bodski:- Might do that see what they say, can only be one of two answers:wonder:

Agreed.

I think someone tried a group buy on these when they first came out but the discount was very small. I think that was direct through a Subaru dealer so it might be worth another go though. :)

Diff guard for me as well then :)

SwissTony 10 July 2006 04:29 PM

you do realise that these diff guards are up for £160 not £60.

I`m afraid thats right, £160! Is what you expect when its a genuine Prodrive/Subaru part. On the upside it fits perfect and IMO looks great. As its alloy its pretty shiny and I topped it off with some AutoGlym metal polish. As you know the rear diff casing is visible when following a Subaru and this just compliments your Stainless Steel back box! :D

might be £160 but they do look the bo**ox though , polished up ummmm :notworthy

F1 CJE UK 10 July 2006 07:46 PM

Would it be possible to buy them from another country they are much cheaper in the US but P&P would probably take up all the saving maybe a group buy would work tho ????? any ideas

SwissTony 10 July 2006 07:50 PM

well it might , $160 is £86.50 plus the P+P, plus duty/tax, so it might come out at around £110-120, which although cheaper, is not exactly a major saving. unless you could get it through as a gift, but suppliers dont like to do that on major qty's.

COLZO 10 July 2006 07:55 PM

If you have to buy from a Subaru dealer the Part No. is SACC2578

GC8 10 July 2006 08:16 PM

You pay duty and VAT on gifts. The allowance is a little higher than on commercial goods, but thats all.
