Will a WRX exhaust fit a GX?

Hello; I've got a 2005 Impreza GX Special Edition (Spanish). I want to change the backbox for getting a nicer sound, and my question is: Can I get an aftermarket backbox for a WRX of the same MY and install? Here in spain there're not many scoobys and the imports only comes for the turbos. Also, will I notice any performance upgrade with just the backbox?

some pics of the car:

and here a pic of the backbox, not so good but maybe it helps:

Thanks!

as far as i know the mounting flanges differ on the turbo and non turbo cars....but the other day i saw on ebay an adapter to allow turbo rear silencers to be fitted to gx versions, quite cheap too,so it can be done without welding bits on.....as for performance increase i doubt very much, although might sound better.

The bolts holes in the mounting flange are rotated about 15 degrees. You could get a garage to re-weld the flange on the back box.

I fitted a GX box to my turbo and had the same problem, see pic which is taken from the back. The GX holes are horizontal and the turbo rotated.

Nice car, by the way.

There are a few eBay sellers that do a flange conversion kit for a few quid.
