This has been playing on my mind for a while so I thought I'd ask you knowledgeable (sp?)
bunch.

Are there any national track racing series which have a class suitable for a scoob?

Seeing as cars are getting stupidly cheap, and the scoob is so obviously adaptable to track work. Then why not?

I've been racing MG Metro's ( http://bbs.scoobynet.co.uk/biggrin.gif don't laugh http://bbs.scoobynet.co.uk/eek.gif ) for the last couple of years, and could do with stepping up the ladder.

(I know the Scoob is essentially a rally car, but m'nuts aren't big enough for all that.)

cheers,
Dave

What a crime!

I was just looking at the 750 motor clubs website and their Roadsports Formulae looks ideal, although it doesn't list the scoob at the mo.

Can the SIDC be used to hassle the 750mc to let us join in the fun?

cheers,
Dave

My mate used to race ( TR4 No 15 in TR Register series ) on the same events as the MG Metro boys over the past 4 - 5 seasons.

And having seen the melee's that ensued I think you should line up a decent supplier of cheap body panels.

That series has to be one of the closest I have ever seen - VERY ENTERTAINING to watch.

I can just see it now ....

a grid of 20 + Scoobs.

Glad you've enjoyed the action Neil, its always been a giggle from behind the wheel.

As for the rate of body panels we get through, I think we are quite clean compared to some championships I've seen. In two years I've only just managed to have my first paint exchange with another car, trying a bit too hard at Cadwell.

Doing all that in a scoob though, what a larf. http://bbs.scoobynet.co.uk/smile.gif
