Request : STI Type UK badges please..!

As the title, anyone got any photos of the STI Type UK emblem / badge?

Close-ups would be great but any will be appreciated! :)

Also, did the Type UK badges change over time, ie between the bug's and the blobs?

Cheers buddy, really appreciate that.

I'll tell you why...(your gona laugh) I took off the vinyl sticker that the dealer applied when the car was new. Its a Sparshatt sticker but the b*****d thing has left a permanent mark on the car. I've tried everything, from polish, T-cut, good ol' soap and water and still it wont budge the stain! Grrrrrrr! Its almost like it has taken the top layer of laquer off cos you feel a slight difference in texture when rubbing your finger over it. You can only notice it in certain light / reflection but I know its there and its driving me nuts. Ive a good mind to phone Sparshatts and tell them to stop defacing scoobies with their stupid stickers. I think they apply them to brand new scoobies now, so word of warning there. Anyway, the car is an 02 WRX bugeye. In which case I cant disguise it with an STI badge...cos it isnt one and I'm not sticking some 3rd party badge of some description on there so that leaves me with the Type UK badge which would nicely cover the stain. Its not an STI, but it is a Type UK :p

Thanks for the photy's hoskib :)

no worries:)

neat idea, should get a few double takes;)

have you tried a clay bar by the way? works wonders on contaminants(sp?) on the paint, might be worth a shot and at the worst it's a great thing to have to bring up the paintwork:)

neoglow.....have a look at the 'Subaru Stars' badge on the left in my pic....I think that would be a good option :)

Never tried the clay, I always thought it was to remove stuburn debris from the car not stains, think it will work??? Where can I get some? Halfords?

Thanks V5, is that a Subaru badge or a 'custom' badge?

Whilst were on the subject of badges, I've got a silver bugeye but I'm undecided whether to change the Stars grille badge. The pink ones seem to be popular but I'm not so sure, anyone got any pics of silver bugeyes with pink front badges?

Like that badge, where did you get it from/part no.? The Type UK badges are the same on all model years. You would be amazed at what clay bars can do, give it a try. :)

I think the mark he's trying to describe is one where the sticker adhesive has slightly reacted with the cars laquer. So the best bet is to try some Farecla G3 on it....if that stuff doesn't improve it then nothing is going to!
