I am thinking about moving my front number plate.
The 2 options are having one made to be stuck onto the bonnet, or an Evo 6 style.

The reasons are to see if it looks better and to get more air into the engine.

Has anyone tried this and is it any good?

Mines on the front spoiler and the grill has been colour coded.
It looks better.

Hi

This one's been looked at a few times before. I think the Evo look would be a bit poo on your car as there's no real place to put it but the bonnet would look good. However, plod may take a dim view of this although it seems to depend on which area you live in - some forces don't care at all whereas others will pull you for it.

The other thing is, I'm not entirely convinced of any airflow benefits to be had from this. Has anyone got any proof of a benefit to moving the number plate? My STi has got a mounting plate which is not removable behind the number plate. I suspect that there would be negligible gains from this and you certainly wouldn't feel it. After all, Scoobs aren't going to get the mild-supercharging effect like F1 cars are they? Or am I talking @rse (just for a change)?

I have a square-ish type motor cycle sized front plate. Looks good IMHO. Have had no trouble with plod so far.

The number plate mountings are removable - you need a 'security' torx bit which are available from specialist tool shops or places like Maplin.
