I don't know if any of you have even watched Greyhound racing but as we race greyhounds it our other interest other than the car and I just wanted you to see this.

This dog is called Westmead Hawk and he is one of the best Greyhounds that has ever raced.

Last year he won The English Derby ,won of the biggest races in the world he came back again this year and won every race through the 1st and 2nd rounds, heats ,quater finals, semi finals and then on to the final 2006 at Wimbledon. I was there the Final night and it was the biggest buzz you can ever imagine.

A tribute has been made of his races ,he is usually in Trap 4 (black jacket) but some of the races he is in Trap 3 (white).
This video is a bit long but you have to watch it to believe a greyhound to be so amazing and to watch the William Hill English Derby 2006 at the end.

The tribute was put together because last week he fell and broke his hock(leg) and may never race again.

WOW That is one amazing dog you got there Guys, i cant believe how he just sat at the middle of the pack then the second corner came and "See You",my hair was standing up when i watched the the last race......lol

I'm a fan of greyhound racing myself (partly the reason for my username), sorry to hear it's had a fall, I really hope he makes a recovery as it really is a star dog. :(

Has anyone ever been to any on the welsh tracks, they are a bit small in comparrison to the big NGRC tracks in england but it can be a good night out. The is a track in Ystard Mynach that we go to and one in Bedwellty,blackwood and the other is Swansea.

We could all go for a night out to Ystard Mynach and sponsor a little race.

South Wales Scoobies Sprint .....sounds good.

By the way Scudy the dog in the video isn't mine ,he is a huge star on the greyhound scene. I wouldn't be able to afford to buy his little toe never mind own the whole dog. I think if he was to be sold you would be look at about £100,000 at the least.
