advice needed on lcr to sti uk car change

hi guys and gals,
right im after some advice on what i should do i currently on a 225bhp lcr on a 54 plate and am intrested in buying a sti uk impreza so part ex mine in for £12500 and taking a impreza out for around £13000 so £500 towards it something on a 02 plate with 30,000 miles.
whats bothering me most is the fact that what is the mpg like on a car like this my lcr averages 36mpg at 70 on the motorway.
also what are people getting out of their tyres tidy driving.
Thanks any advice greatfully accpeted
Chris.

Try using the search bar. There's loads & loads of threads on tyres & mpg.

As a rough guide:
For an STi expect around 22mpg, tyres - soft (5-7000), harder (15k+).

I think what you are asking is what is fuel consumption on an STI like. Well using your 70mph on a motorway benchmark, an STI will do about 28mpg.

As for tyres, I'm guessing you go through front tyres a good deal quicker in a 225BHP FWD car than you will in a scooby.

Tip for you, read through what you have typed before posting it, thereby avoiding confusion and waspy comments from pedantic idiots like me:)
