I'd imagine the original would weigh less than any fake.

loads of money new and to be honest any strut brace from scooby world etc... would be just as sufficient and cost about 60 - 70 quid. They'll just be a little heavier.

Genuine ones have STi stamped in the metal on either side, where the bracing is, next to the bit u bolt to the top of the suspension.

Like Alex says i've got a Scoobyworld one on mine and it looks the same and seems to do the same job and costs £'sssssss less

I very much doubt a copy will have 'STi' stamped on it, sounds like you have bought an original!

Nope Sam the Scoobyworld one does'nt have STi stamped on it.

Did u get the prodrive gearknob off of Ebay?? ;) Or was it not u asking questions about it ??

SamUK 27 June 2006 03:00 PM

Cool...

Nope i did not see any reason to spend so much money on a Knob!... ;)

Looking to get some Tein Springs though... :D

B0DSKI 27 June 2006 03:01 PM

LOL Lovely looking knob though Sam ;)

Y the Tein springs instead of Prodrive ones ??

Tein's have more of a drop on the front of the car, and i am hoping it will sit flat rather then raised at the front...

On another note...

I have today recieved the Strut Brace... :thumb: (at a bargin price)

B0DSKI 03 July 2006 05:52 PM

only thing to watch out for Sam if it's lower at the front is if your gonna be fitting a lip, will it get over speed humps ? ?

SamUK 03 July 2006 06:29 PM

true...but i just can't stand the gap between the front arch and the tyre...

The splitter i may just give a miss...though depends on what the cash flow is like....as i still have to get the tunning part sorted...

B0DSKI 03 July 2006 08:13 PM

;) Your rolling in it Sam admit it ;)

I run a splitter with Whiteline springs on board and find no problems with speed humps. Carpark ramps are the one to watch out for.
