I've got one of these on my 93 wagon, great bump in performance from fitting it, and makes the exuast note that little bit sharper.

subarujimmy 26 June 2006 04:23 PM

Do they make these for the new-age (2003)?

Do you need a remap if you put 1 of theese on?

SamUK 27 June 2006 12:00 PM

Yes you will need a remap when you change any downpipe...

rmtypeR 27 June 2006 12:57 PM

I'd be up for this if we can get at least the 10+ price.

I have run a 1999 UK turbo and a 1998 UK Turbo and have many friends who run decat or fast flow cat downpipes on the classic Imprezas without remaps. Of course a remap will provide more power than simply bolting on the pipework but I acheived good power gains even without a remap and never experienced any running issues whatsoever. IMO a remap is beneficial but not essential so long as you keep an eye out for signs of overboosting by using a boost gauge.

It is not so critical on a classic for a remap but would strongly recommend a remap on a 01 -> Maybe we can organize one of them .

Ninja Downpipe with fast flow cat for 2001-2005 Impreza coming soon and will be available for the same individual and group buy prices.

I run a ninja on a 95uk with decat mid and a backbox without a remap and it seems to run sweet i was very impressed with the gains after fitting.

This is a top piece of kit, had one for a few months now.

Tek3 remap with this, JR panel filter and Magnex centre & backbox (MY00) produced 273/273.

Passed MOT a couple of weeks ago - so no problems with emissions either.

Highly recommended :)

mitchscooby 04 July 2006 02:39 PM

im interested too......

Just to clarify, with this i need a de cat middle section(already have prodrive bb)

thanks mitch

StiX 04 July 2006 09:58 PM

Yes, classic is in three sections. Downpipe is the first. Then centre, and finally backbox.

As you say, go for a decat middle as all you need to pass emissions for MOT is the sports cat (I know did it the other week!).

Looks like you'll have plenty of time to get the cash together.

Richy B 08 July 2006 09:28 PM

Ian what's the difference between the Ninja and your own sports cat except price?:wonder:

I'm on the understanding you make these for Scooby World, yes?

I'm looking to have a sports cat on my classic and am just looking for some advice...

Will these mate up with a Blitz Nur Spec R? :thumb:

Richy - H&S do not make this pipe. It is made by the same factory which produces the Ninja and Racebox systems.

Yes it will mate up to a Nur Spec R.

Cheers
