Performance air filter problem
 

Hi all , have just removed the standard air box on and sti with the prodrice pack version 9 and replaced with a high flow cone filter on an adapter with the air mass meter in it , mass meter about 3 inch behind the filter's mounting .Problem is at higher rpm feeling like holding back , not pulling as well as standard filter and very slight judder and then the eml comes on with a pcode of 103 ( air mass fault, air flow to high ) :confused: any ideas of how i can correct this , if not just have to put oem airbox back and use a panel filter instead.:cry:

Have a read of the Newage Tuning Guide Sticky. There's a part in there that could be relevent to your prob.

Don't drive aggresively until you have fitted the standard airbox. If problem goes, you know its the cone filter. If it doesn't, either start eliminating items yourself, or take the car to a specialist for a diagnostic.
