What currently is the best set-up or device for aiding ones driving and road safety by enlightening one to a potential £60 and 3 point endorsement?

I've heard of "garage door openers" any one have any experience with them? What about Snooper or Road angels can any one recommend the "best" one out there? :D

Have you actually tried doing that? I tried it once and I was concentrating so hard on watching my speedo that I nearly hit the car in front :nono:

That device appears to be a legal parking detector that just happens to disperse the laser, so you're probably less likely to be told off if you are thinking of fitting a garage door opener.

I use a GPS based system which I am very happy with ... http://www.drive-smart.co.uk ... but I am also considering whether to double this up with their 'Defender' which you also find details of on their site in addition to here ... http://www.laser-jammer.co.uk . Am hoping that I'll get the opportunity to see it in action next week, but will have to wait and see.

the middle pedal is pretty good

While lots of these suggestions are pretty good the PACE defence as invented and distributed by Mika over on pepipoo.com seems to be about the best defence. In as far as I can establish no one who has used this defence has ever been convicted.

It's dead easy to stick to the speed limit, but equally easy to find excuses not to.

The problem with sticking to the speed limit is that many people have done so only to find themselves getting an NIP in the post. The BBC recently broadcast footage of the police laser speed measuring device indicating that a stationary wall was moving at 58mph and there are a very many cases of motorists being accused of travelling at speeds they were most certainly not travelling at.

So, sticking to the limit is one of the least reliable ways to attempt to avoid an NIP.

I have got one of the earlier Snoopers but with the hi vis blue screen. It also has a detector for laser and radar. It works well and I have always had very good service from the firm.

I would not advise a jammer though-cost you plenty if you are caught with it.
