2003 Mini Cooper, Electric Window Problem

Got a problem with the electric window on the drivers side.
When you press the switch to open it the window does not operate you just here a slight clicking noise from inside the door.
Also when you open and close the door, the window doesn't move up and down around the door rubber as it should do.
Anyone got any ideas before we take it back to our friendly(not) local mini dealers
Cheers Warren

It's under warranty. Just take it to Mini and they'll fix it. Not worth worrying or invalidating your warranty by trying to fix it yourself.

Sounds like something dislodged from the window runner.

Unfortunatly its 3 months out of warranty.I'll give them a ring though and see what they say.

Sorted it!
Found the answer on a mini forum

Simply wollop the inner door panel just above the speaker with your hand

'Hey Presto it works again'

But for how long I don't know:D

Common problem, when sat in the car with the ignition on, hold both window buttons in the up position for approx 5 seconds and it will reset.
