Nath > true enough!! Theiving barstewards :o

AND, because it's that price with them that's why I've had it for over a year and not had any interest :( . Methinks I shall put it up for sale privately.

Plate is S118 ARU would read subaru if a screw was placed in the right position but the robbing git wants 7 grand for it on newreg.co.uk

WHAT A RIPPER

at the end of the day its just a standard plate not even a custom jobbie,so if anybodys got a spare wedge of cash i cant think of a better plate!

IWatkins 02 November 2001 06:20 PM

Well, if you think it is a good plate, then maybe it is worth the money being asked.

Can't see the attraction myself. Surely the car already says "SUBARU" on the back as it is ? ;)

Cheers

Try www.dvla-som.co.uk

They've got plates from £250, I've just had a quick look and you could alter the way it reads quite nicely! :D

*lol* £7k, rediculous.

I've currently got a plate up for sale and Newreg are 'dealing' with it, but they take a large cut, and let's face it, the things are only worth what someone is willing to pay.

Out of interest my plate is K99 JOY, will happily see the back of it for £300 :D :D

jon44w 02 November 2001 06:50 PM

my plate is T10MML ( tommi mak. )

I`ll see the back of it quite happily for 7k too ;)

mbc 02 November 2001 07:27 PM

i was expecting around the 1k mark to be honest and i would have had it

John Stevenson 02 November 2001 08:04 PM

Me knows who owns this :D (not me by the way)

bug-eyed wonder 02 November 2001 08:59 PM

Not a rip off at all. If someone pays the money then they must think it's VFM. Paid nearly 6K for mine but i have it for life, unless............? :D

Luke 02 November 2001 10:05 PM

Sad.

mbc 02 November 2001 10:45 PM

if it said my name clearly i.e m1kec then 7k yes (if i had the dosh) but for an s118 prefix i just laughed when she rang me and told me.

bug-eyed wonder 02 November 2001 10:50 PM

sad?? You may think but it's one way of making money if you choose correctly. I have access to a pair which cost £1500 and £4000 on their own but as a pair are valued at £30K. What are mods costing £000's worth!!

mbc 02 November 2001 11:03 PM

blimey 30k,what an investment, but could you sell them if you had too

X SOOOBY 02 November 2001 11:07 PM

my one is X SOOOBY with a little fixing screw it comes out as X SCOOBY a nice touch from dvla for just £499 dont you think

mbc 02 November 2001 11:12 PM

have the old bill given you any grief over the screw?

bug-eyed wonder 02 November 2001 11:19 PM

mbc, wouldn't sell them anyhow! One is nearly 90 years old and they do cause the local old bill some confusion. 2 vehicles running v very similar plates.

jon44w 02 November 2001 11:52 PM

what are you plates bew mate, if you dont mind telling us them ? :)

47 NAT 03 November 2001 09:30 AM

mook, you weren't joking when you said they take a large cut. I've just had a look and they want £930  .......
