I HAVE GOT AN STI V5 AND AM CONSIDERING FITTING WRX MY 01 17'S TO IT. I THINK THE TYRE SIZE IS EITHER 215 40 17 OR 215 45 17 (THE TYRES ARE STANDARD FIT BRIDGESTONES) CAN ANY ONE SEE ANY PROBLEMS WITH THIS IE RUBBING ETC

CHEERS

Graham, either size should fit just fine. I believe 215/45 is the "recommended" size by Prodrive and others. It is the closest to the original rolling diameter, I believe. Cheers.

Graham,

On the older cars (MY93-00), the recommended size of tyres are 205/45R17 or 215/40R17.

The tyre size on the new cars (MY01) are 215/45R17 and they have a larger rolling circumference.

Some people have said they fit and there is no rubbing, but I don't think they've pushed the car hard enough! It will probably catch on full bump (ie - 4 up in the car, going hard round a roundabout)

Try them if you want, but be careful.

Hope this helps
Andy
