New cheap pc- Any suggestions
Any one got any reccomendations besides Dell
Doesn't have to be flash, I mainly intend to use it for web browsing, running office apps occasionaly, and of course trawling Scoobynet. Would like sometihng with a TFT as well, or can buy one seperatly, depends on whats best vaule for money Not got anything against Dell BTW, just wondering whether there are other alternatives that I am unaware of Cheers all |
Dell :)
Seriously, I don't know how they do it for the money. We recently got my sister a new 2.5GHz celeron PC with 17" flat panel...for under £300 including delivery and VAT. For office apps and web browsing it's a great little machine and whisper quiet in operation. Gary. |
sorry but it has to be a dell
they are brill and reali cheap |
Would agree, DELL just seem to be giving low end PCs away at present.
www.meshcomputers.com is another option - but some have had VERY bad experiences of late with them. |
Dell from me as well :D My pops loves his Dell and it cost £400. Not bad for the spec (17" TFT, 3.0GHz, 1GB ram, DVD-RW etc.)
Its common knowledge that Dell make a loss on all there Dell Dimension PC's. Well that's what our Dell Business Account Manager said. They make huge amounts on their highend precision business workstations, Servers, storage, warranty cover periods, parts and upgrades though. Darren |
Those Acer laptops in Tesco at the moment look good (£380 I think). Nice weather to sit out in the garden surfing the net.
