laptop wireless
 
ok guys i have a packard bell easynote which has a wireless detector so i presume it has wireless internet connection..
i can't seem to get it working? i have look for to wireless option but simply can't find it!

any ideas?

help much appreciated;)

Well there's definitely no wires in the pic, so it must be wireless ! ;)

Firstly, is your modem and/or router wireless capable ? If so make sure you know your wireless settings ie. the SSID name, the channel number it operates on, and the WEP key if applicable.
Next you have to make sure the settings on your laptop correspond with the settings on your router/modem. If the machine is running Windows XP SP2 you're better off leaving Windows to sort it all out. Click 'start' click 'control panel' then click 'wireless network setup wizard'.

i think i may have now found a guide on how to enable the wifi;)
the detector doesn't seem to pick anything up even when it's directly beside a wifi router:( i think it will be the fact that it is disabled to save power
