Car been vandalised

Went out this morning to go to work and found paint stripper has been poured all over the car from the tip of the bumper to the tip of the boot. It has eaten right through to the metal.

Insurance is sorting out the garage. So angry and upset. Have to say I did cry  when I saw it.

cuttsysti 13 June 2006 10:39 AM

At the moment we're living in temorary accommodation and I have to park my car on the side of a main road which makes me very paranoid about this kind of thing.
I can never understand what someone would get out of doing this to someone else's car.

Scrappy9 13 June 2006 10:40 AM

Thats terrible, why on earth would someone do such a thing, they really do need locking up, or flogging in public.

Hope its sorted quickly

shep ppp 13 June 2006 10:40 AM

 W**kers m8 jealous ba**rds

pimmo2000 13 June 2006 10:40 AM

where abouts in Cheshire are you ?? This makes me feel sick, how someone can do this to someone elses car! and you'll foot the bill with insurance prices..!!

****ing *******s

Have you upset anyone ??

Wow I dont even know you and I'm fumming

alloy 13 June 2006 10:43 AM

Thats a horrid misfortune  . Maybe a case of mistaken identity, sounds premeditated with the paint stripper, are you sure you haven't pi55ed someone off?

Mrs WRX 13 June 2006 10:47 AM

As far as I know we havent pi55ed anybody off, but saying that is could be something as stupid as being quicker off a roundabout than somebody else or being quicker off the lights. You just dont know.

The insurance is faxing the garage now and we are thinking it is going to cost over a grand to fix. As the car is only a P reg we are hoping they dont write it off.

Buster-WRX 13 June 2006 10:48 AM

Ba*****ds:mad:

Hope it all gets sorted.

Some people have no respect and nothing better to do:mad:
There is nothing in their thought process that makes them understand how things like this effect people.

Dont let it ruin you fun:)

SirFozzalot 13 June 2006 10:50 AM

Thats terrible news! :(

This sort of thing makes me so angry!

Mrs WRX 13 June 2006 10:56 AM

I suppose I got of lightly as a few streets away last month a couple of cars were set on fire. So I guess Paintstripper is the better of the 2 evils

chocolate_o_brian 13 June 2006 11:00 AM

shocking really is shocking. you spend your harded earned cash on something you look after and cherished and some one can spoil years of work in 10 seconds with this sort of behaviour. id check round all the local chav spots and try found out via reverse physcology who could have done it and then proceed to beat the f**kin living b*stard f**kin s**t out of the b*stard twats.

its bad enough when you get permanent marker down your car, thats popular down my end at the moment, but so is me trying to get my own back via running the culprits over. people say its wrong and a stereotype but i bet you anything it was a chav or sum drugged up "devvo" wannabe...

Petem95 13 June 2006 11:01 AM

theres some scum out there - must have made you pretty mad.

stilover 13 June 2006 11:02 AM

Bast@rds.

It's probably something fcuking ridiculous like you overtook them one day. Some people hate being overtook even if they drive everywhere at 40mph. In spite, and to "Teach" you a lesson, they do this.

Shame you didn't see who it was. Not like the Police would have done anything anyway.

[Davey] 13 June 2006 11:04 AM

Was it an un-provoked attack? I never understand that, its just sheer jealousy.. But if you have pissed someone off, cut them up etc. just remember some people are not afraid to seek extreme revenge!

We phoned the police as we need a crime number for the insurance and they are not even sending somebody out. But that sounds about right.

I really dont know what I have done. I dont normally overtake or cut people up as I usually have the kids in the car so I drive sensible.

What exactly do we pay our taxes for ????

Bottle's of Pepsi and KFC's for car theiving scum that what.

SideShowBob 13 June 2006 11:18 AM

Does your car have a loud exhaust? sometimes people take offense to excessively loud exhausts, I know a couple cars round my way id like to pour paint stripper on, make a massive racket at all hours (but I dont of course).

The person who dwindles along doing 40mph every where isn't quite in keeping with my perception of the nature of a vandal capable of a bit of nitromors ;)

WRX300MAN 13 June 2006 11:53 AM

OK Andy! For your sake of argument let's say no faster than 25 mph, or there are some people who believe a car should not go faster than a horse. . .

But on a serious note, still very sad to hear when a car is vandalised, especially so badly! Its probably someone who has been severely antagonised by someone elses blue Rocket, which creates a feeling of resentment in people who drive crap cars (330ci and the likes) . .And there is nothing wrong with overtaking, as long as its done properly . . . And most people have no clue how to do it properly . . .

Nice talking . . .:thumb:

imprezarb5 13 June 2006 02:29 PM

why not advertise locally, offering a reward for information leading to arrest/conviction/beating/confession !

would drive me mad not knowing who did it.

ScoobyBird! 13 June 2006 02:32 PM

B@st@rds my heart goes out to you hun....

Scumbags, jealousy by the sounds of it - I would have cried too!!

They shouldn't write the car off. My old escort cost £1500 to get fixed when someone smashed into it, and that was only worth £2000, and they didn't write that off!!

Hope you get it sorted. :)

Cheryl

Scoobyslammed 13 June 2006 05:18 PM

Like I said to GAV on the phone earlier... it wouldn't surprise me if they did write it off...
It not some much the cost of a full paint job... its the labour that is needed to go into painting a car that has been attacked with paint stripper???
Gotta go back down to bare metal... then it may react again and again...
Then romoving all the windows...
It soon mounts up... hence why I don't really think at this time you could rule it out!!!
Hope you get it sorted... and as said... I can sort out somebody to do it if needs be???
Unfortunatly, there seems to be more and more of this going on in this day in age... if someones got a problem... I wish they would just say it to your face...

I come back from work at 5pm today... to find out that a bloke over the road from me has had his drivers door booted in!!! Glad mines up the drive...!

Scoobyslammed 14 June 2006 06:06 PM

Whats the latest from your insurance???

Me too... steady away, kids on board... still pisses people off!! Been overtaken whilst going over speed bumps :wonder: excuse me I got a 5 month old baby that sleeps with her head slumped down with her chin on her chest !! I aint going over the speed bumps at 100 mph like your piece of sh1t can... What Im saying is you dont have to do anything to annoy some people, its jealousy and we'll always get it... Bad luck though, know how heartbreaking it can be, had an ex do £5000 damage to a 6 month old car with a screwdriver on EVERY single panel including the sun roof once

StudentScooby 14 June 2006 10:25 PM

Nasty.... I had a previous car keyed up and had to have a full hit of paint because i borrowed this guys miss's for the night. Needless to say i wouldnt have a decent car now without a garage im just too paranoid.

Swen6 14 June 2006 10:32 PM

Sure it was paint stripper?, you only have to have a couple kids walk past with alco-pops, throw it over your can and it'll have the same affect.

Even so gutted for you which ever it was matters neither here or there, it's just out of order.

green un 14 June 2006 10:47 PM

what do they make alco-pops out of if it will strip paint??????????
