I sourced this from previous a thread (thks stv555)as I was looking for a smaller plate but within the legal ruling of a 11mm border around all the digits.

Spoke to Tenant Plastics in Nottingham 0115 950 1081 who have delivered me exactly what I wanted for just short of £9.They offer a wide range of options to which I was suprised.

I couldn't get any motor spares places locally to cut a shorter plate.(5 digits)

looks better and hopefully will improve cooling on Friday.

Re chopping down your plate - there's this thing called a hacksaw, and when complemented by a file and stanley knife...

Look in Yellow Pages under 'Sign Makers'. You'll find dozens of them who can do all kinds of incredible graphics in vinyl. Want your Scoob to look like Burns's? No problem!

Number plates are an absolute doddle for these guys. Whatever size, shape or colour. I think they even do legal ones.

PS Ian, why don't you just unscrew your number plate for track days? That's what I do and underneath on the black plastic mounting plate it reads 'Hoppy' so please say hello!
