Folding mirror switch

Is the switch for folding electric mirrors located on top of the steering column? I have a switch there marked with a P but it doesn't seem to do anything. Can only guess that it is supposed to be for the mirrors.

Thats for parking lights. Folding mirror switch will be in center console by the handbrake.

what year is your car? I have a 94wrx and the button to make the mirrors fold is next to the button that moves the mirrors - it's a complete unit and usually there's a little drawing next to the button that shows the mirrors open/closed, its a rocker type switch that "rests" in the middle.
