CD TOC MSF Format
Anybody understand this that can explain it in simple ish terms..
Havent managed to get my head around it! David |
TOC = Table of Contents = Like an index of whats stored on the CD
MSF= Minute Second Frame= a way of measuring time on a compact disc (CD), expressed in the format mm:ss:ff, where mm is minutes, ss is seconds and ff is frames. |
Yes I know that :D
I want to generate a fake CD TOC from files in a folder :) |

If you're using an illegal TOC to copy protect a CD, I wouldn't bother.
Although, I'm equally confused as to what exactly your question is ? |
I want to generate the DISCID from the CDTOC for freedb :)
David |
Can you not use the DiscID Calculator from the freedb website ?
|
not when I need to create a fake CD TOC as im not generating it from a physical cd, rather a list / folder of the files.
David |
So you want a TOC without creating a physical disc ? Good luck :D
You could create a bin/cue of some random files, then edit the cue file manually with your required track lengths and gaps etc and mount the image as a virtual drive with Deamon Tools or similar. No idea how you would do this on the fly from a folder though. What is it you want to achieve eventually? Perhaps you could find something to generate a cue file, then use cue2toc to create a toc file ? |
