Remember ButtDyno?

http://bbs.scoobynet.co.uk/showthread.php?t=390224

Well John from America certainly remembered us from back in January 2005.So much so that he mentioned to this guy to look us up on SN before he visits sometime in august.

I am sure something can be arranged for mid august.

Mark ;)

And I can't tell you how many times I've posted those pictures on nasioc.com :)

I would like to thank everyone again for the amazing time. From the 130 mph wild ride in Rob's WR1, seeing all the exotic Scoobies chuck fireballs, the blat session in the tunnels in Tiny's car, and the caravan back (where Rob had a bit of trouble staying on the right side of the road! :D )

It was an amazing time; I only hope I can reciprocate someday if any of you decide to visit Washington DC.

The MX5 and the WRX are still chugging along.

I still go to trackdays whenever I can :D

Again, thanks!

Chris

Doesn't happen every time... but it was fun to chase for a little bit :)

Here's a video of the CGT encounter (Virginia International Raceway, one of the nicer tracks in the states):

I'll be in Europe again this summer: England for 2 days, Paris for 2 days, then off to Trier Germany for the Rallye Deutchland! We are going to try to hit the 'ring the Monday after, before we go to the airport - we'll see. Even at slow speeds it'd be great to just take one lap around it, and it is a public road afterall...

Quoting myself:

I had to check with the Ms. (soon to be Mrs.!) about our itinerary. We are leaving France Thursday morning and heading to Germany. So we can almost certainly meet you there sometime Thurs.

John

How about meeting @ The Ring on the Thursday afternoon then ?

We should be there from 3-4pm ish , Traffic depending

We could then convoy into Trier from there , This journey Ring > Trier ( 45 mins )

Tiny ...

Jard 05 June 2006 04:06 PM

I'll also be visiting for WRC Germany with Mr. and Ms. ButtDyno.

I can't wait to meet up with some Scooby Nuts from across the pond. :thumb:

Come on now...soon to be Mrs. Jard!

ButtDyno 10 June 2006 06:36 AM

So... two questions :)

1) Anyone recommend any hotels in Paris? One swanky/classy place, and then just a regular clean place, like a Best Western or something.

2) How would one get from Paris to the 'ring? I imagine there's a way to do this with the train, I just haven't figured it out yet.

Thanks :)

TTT... we still don't have a good solution for this.

Thanks!

Thanks!

Just get there somehow !!!

Would be great if you can meet us @ The Ring ( Thursday pm ) , We are then going to go GO KARTING - U Fancy that ? :norty:

Tiny ...

ButtDyno 06 July 2006 08:59 PM

It looks like we have to take the train from Paris to Frankfurt, but then we need to figure out how to get from Frankfurt to the 'ring. I don't know enough German to figure out their rails. If we can figure out how to rent a car, that's a possibility. This trip is getting expensive :)

I don't want a car the whole time though, really just that day. We were planning on spending the rest of the time in Trier.

Karting sounds fun. It depends on the Ms. and the rest of the crew :)
