Time for a change in products. what ones..
 

Ive always used meguiers products. (paint cleaner, polish, wax,wheel cleaner, clay bar speed detailer)

But after reading certain threads on here id like to try something different.

What would you recomend for a taster for starters in shampoo, polish, wax. wheel sealent..please.:)

Need more info! I can make recommendations to give you a certain look, or to last a certain amount of time, or more suitable for use by hand or machine. If you can tell me more about your car (colour, condition, ie any swirls, scratches, dullness), what type of finish you want (wet and glossy, shiny and reflective or a mix of the two) and how much durability you want from the products (3-6 months, longer than 6 months) then I'll put together a list to meet your needs. :)

Polished Bliss is right to ask you the above questions, before offering their considered opinions . . .However, based on my personal experience, AUTOGLYM all the way for me!:thumb:. . .Won't be disappointed . .:) . .

Resin Polish, alloy wheel seal, extra gloss protection . . .Everything is quality, and won't set you back an arm and a leg . .

Ive got a rally blue MY01 with full chargespeed kit fitted
im looking for a wet and glossy look by hand.

The paint work is in good nick,no dull areas.Front and rear bumpers,skirts,spoiler have been resprayed to a perfect match. Only a small amount of swirls to the roof.

I wash/leather it every week with regular polishes and waxes and detailing.
No sponges are used on the car only wash mits.

Were the car is parked it does get the sun on it. (when it does shine).

Im happy with the meguiers gear. but always open to your advice on trying other products which could give a better result. for around the same price..

I Treat the car to a full valet once a year. and thats all he uses.:)

Okay, for some swirl removal and wet and glossy on that colour, with good durability and reasonable prices, I'd recommend...

Wash

Poorboy's Slick n Suds Shampoo
Poorboy's Waffle Weave Drying Towel (far better than a leather)

Polish

Menzerna Intensive Polish (for swirl removal only)
Blackfire Gloss Enhancing Polish (to deep clean, and massively enhance gloss)

(add on German Applicator Pads and Super Thick & Plush Towels as needed)

Protect

Blackfire Wet Diamond All Finish Paint Protection

(add on German Applicator Pad and Deluxe Mega Towels as needed)

This combination gives a cracking finish, and was used by one of the runner ups in this months show n shine to great effect - see below. The only downside is that some of the products are currently out of stock, and won't be available until we get back from our holiday on 23rd June.

Plenty of other posts I've put up showing this finish too. However, if all of the above is a touch too dear, another range worth considering that outperforms Meguiars IMHO is the Poorboy's range. Professional Polish, followed by EX-P, followed by Natty's Blue would give a similar finish forless money, although the durability would be less. Hope that helps!
