Parts needed to finish rebuild

Right the list of parts I need to finish my rebuild...:-

1st off...:- oil pump, I'm gonna get a RCM modded one, so thats sorted...

Now for the rest of the bits... I need these delievering to my door step asap:-

oil modine/ cooler.
cam belt.
cambelt tensioner.
rocker cover gaskets.
sump seal or sealent?
heat wrap for headers and up-pipe.
running in oil plus some more running in oil...
oil filters...
spark plugs, been advised by Andy F to use NGK racing 8's for my spec.
Inlet manifold gaskets... need x2, as think i'm gonna use some of Carl Davey's spacers...

Who do I use? I need them here asap for a good price...

As i'm getting the oil pump from RCM do I get everything from there? Or do I stray and get the rest from API etc???
Will be ordering all this first thing tommorrow morning...

Its certainly all avaliable from RCM so if you want to do a one stop shop easiest it may be best. I think the standard scoob parts will be a similiar price everywhere but the heat wrap/sealant/oil/plugs you will get cheaper from other places.

Are you sure Andy recommended 8's for running in?

Carl Davey 30 May 2006 10:48 AM

A friend has just been charged £23.30 for a pair of inlet manifold gaskets from RCMS. £6 +VAT at Subaru the last time i asked.

I'd buy all the OEM parts from Subaru. Harvey may be able to help on the heat wrap front or there's Agriemach and Think Automotive to try too. I've heard the Think stuff is of dubious quality, quite 'wooly' allegedly. Not sure what oil you're planning on using but my Motul comes from Alyn at AS Performance. For plugs try Richard Small at Pentland Components - very friendly service.

The last time i checked, the prices for most of the above were very competitive from Mark @ Lateral 02084205444

with my spec... what spark plugs should I go for??? dunno if comp ratio matters, but gone for 8:1...
This is what I had back off Andy Forrester:- NGK racing 8's

Dunno if this is regarding to running in...

I've just ordered most stuff from RCM... Carl... I tried ringing earlier... will try again later... cheers...

That lot without the spacers has come to £800... not a bad price... not good though lol... it will be here for tommorrow which is the main thing...

Far be it from me to question Andy's wisdom, I asked re running in on 8's. 6's would be my preferred choice, with 8's following the running in period

Will check with him when I order my turbo, and injectors... Cheers...
