Where to visit?
Hi guys wondering if you could help me. I am coming visiting in Southend with a friend and the 2 kids we will be staying overnight in Southend.
Where can we visit in southend and surrounding areas which are kiddy based? I did come down a couple of weeks back and we did the fair on the pier and the Sea world type place the kids really enjoyed it so would do that again but looking to fill more time to make it worthwhile Just thought I would ask the locals ;) Thankyou in advance Tams :D |

Kevedon Hatch, on the road from Brentwood to Ongar.
I used to deliver to it when I was a postie, and the Government still owned it!! I used to have to put the mail in a box on the chain linked fence, toot my horn, and drive away. I wasn't allowed to wait around to see anyone. The place looks like a bungalow, with a ruddy great antenna sticking out of it. When The Government sold it, I was able to go inside, and it was facinating- the bungalow had lead lined doors, which wear SO heavy to open. According to folklore, an aerial photograph was taken of the area, all of the trees removed, the complex and hill built, and all the trees replaced so the Ruskies didn't know it was there, even the locals weren't too sure what was going on. Great Place to visit :luxhello: |
